The ultimate weight-adding combo for your CZ Shadow 2 — our solid brass magwell paired with your choice of G10 or Carbide grips. The brass magwell adds significant mass low in the frame for improved balance and recoil control, while the magwell funnel delivers foolproof magazine insertion under match pressure. This is the competition bundle for shooters who want maximum stability and control.

Key Features

  • Solid Brass Magwell — CNC-machined from solid brass, adding substantial weight low in the frame for improved balance and recoil absorption
  • Bundle Savings — Save money compared to purchasing the brass magwell and grips separately
  • G10 or Carbide Grip Options — G10 for lightweight durability or Carbide for aggressive texture
  • Palm Swell or Flat Profiles — Choose ergonomic palm swell or slim flat to match your hand and shooting style
  • Multiple Finish Options — Black, Gold Plated, and Chrome Plated magwell finishes available

Division Compliance

This combo is legal for IPSC Standard and Open divisions as well as USPSA Limited, Limited Optics, Carry Optics, and Open divisions. Aftermarket grips are permitted in every major division, but the magwell is not permitted in IPSC Production or USPSA Production. If combining with other heavy upgrades (brass grips, tungsten guide rod), verify total pistol weight against the limits in the current IPSC or USPSA rulebook.

Compatibility

  • CZ Shadow 2 (all variants)

Note: The brass magwell requires Boss-compatible magazine base pads for optimal function. See our CZ Shadow 2 Magazine Base Pad (Fits Boss Magwells) or Mec-Gar Brass Basepad.

What's in the Box

  • CZ Shadow 2 Brass Magwell (1x) in selected finish
  • CZ Shadow 2 Grips — left and right panels (1 pair) in selected material and profile

Grip screws sold separately — see CZ Shadow 2 Grip Screws.

Installation

Difficulty: Easy | Time: ~15 minutes total | Tools: Hex key or screwdriver

  • CZ Shadow 2 Tungsten Guide Rod — Front-end weight for complete balance
  • CZ Shadow 2 Extended Magazine Release — Faster mag drops
  • CZ 75/Shadow 2 Progressive Recoil Spring — Smoother cycling

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between this and the Aluminium Magwell Combo?
This Competition Bundle uses a solid brass magwell that adds significant weight for recoil control. The Aluminium Magwell Combo is lightweight for speed-focused shooters. Choose brass for stability, aluminium for agility.

Can I run the brass magwell in IPSC Production?
No. Magwells are not permitted in IPSC Production or USPSA Production. They are legal in IPSC Standard and Open, and in USPSA Limited, Limited Optics, Carry Optics and Open. If you are stacking other heavy upgrades (brass grips, tungsten guide rod), weigh your complete pistol against the weight limit for your division in the current rulebook.

Do I need special magazine base pads?
Yes. Boss magwells require Boss-compatible base pads for reliable insertion. Standard factory base pads may not feed smoothly through the magwell funnel.

Can I upgrade to brass grips later for maximum weight?
Yes. Our brass grips are available separately and pair perfectly with this brass magwell for the ultimate weight-optimised setup.

Which grip material should I choose?
G10 is lightweight and extremely durable with a refined texture. Carbide offers more aggressive texture. For maximum weight addition, consider purchasing brass grips separately instead.
