      Buying Firearm Parts in Australia

      Magnum Sports lists about 500 parts and upgrades in this collection with roughly 85 available on the shelf today; the rest are ordered from the Australian distributor, usually within one to two weeks. Around 300 lines are reloading press and die parts from Hornady, Lee and Redding (shell holders, decapping pins, bushings, lock rings, primer feeds), and around 130 are firearm parts and upgrades: Tikka, Sako, Beretta, Blaser, Sauer and Howa factory parts, GRS stocks, ATI and Magpul furniture, Accuracy Solutions and Toni System competition upgrades, magazines, springs, sights and recoil pads.

      A quarter of the range is under $45, half is under $150 and premium stocks and chassis run to $4,000. Reloading parts and accessories ship Australia-wide for a flat $20 (free over $700). Under the NSW Firearms Act, firearm parts such as barrels, bolts, receivers, slides, cylinders and trigger mechanisms can only be supplied to the holder of a licence for that kind of firearm, so we will ask for your licence details.

      Our gunsmith at Roseville Chase fits triggers, stocks, sights and function parts and can headspace and test-fire after the work. If you are chasing a part that is not listed, send us the make, model and part number and we will quote from the factory diagram.

      Common questions

      Can I buy firearm parts without a licence in NSW?
      Accessories and reloading press parts, yes. Firearm parts as defined by the NSW Firearms Act, including barrels, bolts, receivers, slides, cylinders and trigger mechanisms, can only be sold to a person licensed for that kind of firearm. Stocks, magazines, sights, springs and recoil pads are generally supplied on request with proof of licence.
      Do you fit parts to my rifle?
      Yes. Our gunsmith at Roseville Chase fits triggers, stocks, sights, magazines and springs, and headspaces and test-fires after any work on a barrel or bolt. Simple fittings are often done while you wait; bookings are needed for gunsmithing.
      Which brands of spare parts do you stock?
      Hornady, Lee and Redding reloading press parts; Tikka, Sako, Beretta, Blaser, Sauer, Howa, Miroku, Henry and Rossi factory parts; GRS, ATI and Magpul stocks and furniture; Accuracy Solutions and Toni System competition upgrades; Timney triggers.
      How long do special-order parts take?
      Parts held by the Australian distributor arrive in one to two weeks. Factory parts that must come from overseas, such as Blaser, Sauer or Beretta items not held locally, can take six to twelve weeks; we quote the lead time before taking a deposit.
      Do reloading press parts ship Australia-wide?
      Yes. Shell holders, dies, decapping pins, bushings and other press parts need no licence and ship for a flat $20, free over $700. Primers and propellant are collection-only.
