The Swarovski Z3 4-12x50 pairs a 3x zoom range with a 50mm objective lens, giving a brighter sight picture at higher magnification than the smaller-objective Z3 models. It suits open-country deer, goat and pig hunting where shots are taken at moderate to longer range and low-light performance in the first and last hour of the day matters.

Like the rest of the Z3 line it runs a second focal plane reticle on a compact 1-inch tube, keeping weight down on the rifle while still delivering the light transmission Swarovski's SWAROVISION optics are known for. Several reticle options, including ballistic turret (BT) variants, are available across this model line. As an optical sight rather than a firearm, it does not require a firearms licence to purchase in Australia.
