The Swarovski Z5 2.4-12x50 steps up from the Z3 line with a wider 5x zoom ratio, starting at a true 2.4x for close, fast shots on driven hunts or in scrub, and reaching 12x for a longer, considered shot in open country. The 50mm objective keeps the sight picture bright as light fades, making it a versatile all-round choice for hunters who cover a mix of terrain and light conditions with one rifle.

It is built on a second focal plane reticle and a 1-inch tube, and is available with a range of reticles including ballistic turret (BT) configurations for holdover at known ranges. As an optical sight rather than a firearm, it does not require a firearms licence to purchase in Australia.
