The Swarovski Z5+ 2-10x42 belongs to Swarovski's 30mm-tube hunting scope range, a step up from the Z3/Z5 1-inch scopes in mechanical adjustment range and low-light performance. It suits hunters who want a true low-power start for close, fast shots on driven hunts or in thick cover, with enough top-end magnification for a confident shot out to moderate range. A ballistic turret (BT) configuration is available for elevation holdover, alongside standard capped turrets.

The 30mm tube gives more internal adjustment travel than the 1-inch Z3/Z5 scopes, useful for longer-range zeros or larger elevation corrections. As an optical sight rather than a firearm, it does not require a firearms licence to purchase in Australia.
