Hornady 40 calibre .395" lead round balls are swaged pure-lead balls for muzzleloading rifles and pistols that take a .395" patched or compression-fit ball. They come 100 to a box and suit muzzleloader shooters who want consistent weight and roundness from ball to ball.

Hornady round balls are cold-swaged from pure lead, which eliminates the air pockets and voids that are common in cast balls, and they are uniform in size, weight and roundness for consistent rotation and accuracy. Before choosing a diameter, check the bore size of your firearm and whether you load a patched ball or a compression fit.
