The Hornady 6mm 103 gr ELD-X is a hunting projectile for medium game such as goats, pigs and deer. It measures .243" in diameter with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .512 (G7 .258), and it suits hunters who want one bullet that expands reliably from close range out to long range.

ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag eXpanding) is a match-accurate hunting bullet. Its Heat Shield tip is immune to aerodynamic heating, so it keeps its shape and its class-leading, Doppler-verified ballistic coefficient over the whole trajectory. At high-velocity impacts inside 400 yards the bullet expands continuously along its penetration path while a thick jacket shank and high InterLock ring hold core and jacket together for 50 to 60 percent weight retention. At lower-velocity impacts beyond 400 yards the tip drives back into the bullet to start expansion.
