Handloaders seating the 45 calibre (.452") 250 gr FTX (450 Bushmaster) in a Hornady Custom Grade die can swap in this FTX seating stem, machined to the profile of that bullet so seating pressure lands on the ogive rather than the tip.

A stem cut to the bullet profile stops the tip being deformed or driven into the stem, which keeps ballistic coefficient and seating depth uniform. The stem fits Hornady Custom Grade seating dies only and is not compatible with other makers' dies. Confirm the stem number for your bullet with our staff before ordering.
