Hornady machines this seating stem to match the 45 calibre (.458") 325 gr FTX (45-70 Government); also fits the 250 gr MonoFlex, so a Custom Grade seater pushes on the bullet where it should and seating depth stays consistent from round to round.

A stem cut to the bullet profile stops the tip being deformed or driven into the stem, which keeps ballistic coefficient and seating depth uniform. The stem fits Hornady Custom Grade seating dies only and is not compatible with other makers' dies. Confirm the stem number for your bullet with our staff before ordering.
