The Hornady large headed decapping pin, new style, is the replacement pin for the Zip Spindle in Hornady rifle and pistol sizing dies other than 17 and 20 calibre. Handloaders should keep one spare with each die set.

The head seats in the spindle collet so the pin cannot be driven up through the spindle on a stubborn primer. This is the pin supplied in Hornady's Zip Spindle kits and die maintenance kit. Small and 17/20 calibre pins are sold separately. Like the rest of Hornady's reloading range it is made to last the life of the bench, and our staff can check the item number against your equipment before you order.
