The Hornady small primer pocket uniformer cuts small primer pockets to a consistent depth with a square bottom, for handloaders in 223 Rem, 6.5 Creedmoor and other small-primer cartridges who want the same primer seating on every round.

Uniform pocket depth means each primer seats against the same firm stop, so ignition is more consistent and high primers are avoided. The tool threads 8-32 for the Hornady universal handle, Quick Change hand tool, Case Prep Trio and Power Case Prep Center. The large primer version is sold separately.
