The Hornady canister dehumidifier is a rechargeable desiccant canister that pulls moisture out of a gun safe or cabinet, for anyone who wants to keep rust off stored firearms, optics and ammunition without power or batteries.

It holds 750 g of moisture-absorbing crystals that change colour from blue to pink as they saturate. When they turn pink, put the canister in a 300°F (about 150°C) oven for up to four hours until the crystals are blue again, and it goes straight back in the safe. Hornady rates it for unlimited recharges, so one canister lasts the life of the safe. Compact enough for a shelf or the floor of a cabinet.
