The Hornady Rapid Rack for 12-gauge shotguns is an empty-chamber indicator and load-assist for shooters who store a pump or semi-automatic shotgun with a loaded tubular magazine and an obviously empty chamber. It is a safety accessory, not a firearm part.

The shell-shaped body sits in the chamber with its coloured lever protruding from the ejection port, so the empty chamber is visible from across the room. Load the magazine tube as normal; when the gun is needed, pull the lever straight back and the Rapid Rack falls clear as the action feeds a shell. Hornady notes it suits selected 12-gauge shotguns, so confirm fit with our staff.
