Hornady's Rapid Rack for AR-10 rifles in 308 Win is an empty-chamber indicator and load-assist device for shooters who keep a 308 semi-automatic stored with a charged magazine and a visibly empty chamber. It is a safety accessory rather than a firearm part.

Insert the cartridge-shaped section into the chamber so the coloured lever stands out of the ejection port, close the bolt and fit the magazine. The lever shows the chamber is empty; pulling it straight back drops the Rapid Rack out and lets the bolt carry a round into the chamber. On the range it works as an obvious chamber flag.
