The #28 shell holder from Hornady holds the case head in the ram of a single-stage press and in the Cam Lock trimmer. Because several cartridges share a rim, a single number often serves more than one calibre on your bench.

Hornady machines its shell holders from solid steel and heat-treats them, with a wide mouth and rounded edge at the opening so cases slide in without catching.
