The Hornady #52 shell holder is the universal snap-in shell holder that grips the case head in a single-stage press and is used across Hornady's Classic, Iron Press and other 7/8"-14 presses, as well as the Cam Lock trimmer. Reloaders need the shell holder number that matches their cartridge's rim.

Hornady machines its universal shell holders from solid steel and heat-treats them, with a wide mouth and rounded edge at the opening so cases slide in smoothly.
