Hornady shell plate #5 is the rotating plate that carries cases from station to station on a Lock-N-Load AP or Projector progressive press. Progressive reloaders need the plate number that matches their cartridge rim, and one plate often serves several calibres.

Each pocket in the plate has a subtle radius at the mouth so cases enter smoothly and index reliably, and the case retainer spring is designed to stay in place while cases are inserted or removed at any station.
