The Hornady standard pistol metering insert is the plain metering unit for the pistol rotor of the Lock-N-Load powder measure, for handgun handloaders who want a spare insert preset for a second load.

Inserts swap with a push of the button on the metering chamber, so keeping one set for each pistol calibre means a changeover takes seconds and needs only a check on the scale. This insert works only with the pistol rotor, not the rifle rotor, and is not compatible with the Bench Rest Grade measure.
