Buying Mauser in Australia

Magnum Sports stocks the current Mauser range from Germany: the M18 (standard, Feldjagd and Waldjagd) and the M12 (Impact, Black Impact, Extreme, Trail and Max). Both are bolt-action centrefires built by the Blaser Group in Isny, in calibres from .243 Win and 6.5 Creedmoor through .270, .308 and .30-06 to 7mm Rem Mag, .300 Win Mag and 9.3x62.

The M18 at $1,519 is the best-value German hunting rifle we sell: a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift, adjustable trigger, detachable magazine and a soft-touch synthetic stock, with the Feldjagd ($2,104) adding a threaded barrel and the Waldjagd ($2,424) a short barrel for driven and scrub hunting. The M12 ($3,167 to $4,420) is the premium rifle with a walnut or synthetic stock, a cold-hammer-forged barrel and the Mauser three-position safety.

Every Mauser is Category B in NSW and needs a Permit to Acquire and compliant storage. Six of the 14 listed models are available today, including the M18, M18 Feldjagd, M12 Impact and M12 Extreme; the rest are ordered in from the distributor.
