Two things decide what will work in your rifle: barrel twist and intended use. A 1:12 twist .223 will not stabilise heavy 75gr and 77gr match bullets; a 1:8 will. Faster twists generally stabilise everything lighter as well, so err that way if you are having a barrel made. For game, controlled-expansion designs like SST, InterLock, Accubond and Partition hold together on shoulder bones. For foxes and rabbits, thin-jacketed varmint bullets dump energy fast. For target work, match hollow points with high ballistic coefficients cut wind drift at distance.
Seating depth relative to the lands is usually worth more accuracy than switching brands, so buy one box and test before committing to a case lot.
