Buying Rossi in Australia

Magnum Sports stocks the Rossi range imported into Australia: the Rio Bravo .22 LR lever action, the Gallery .22, the 8122 and 7122 rimfires, the R92 and Puma lever actions in .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum and .45 Colt, and the R95 lever action in .30-30 Win. Rossi, part of the Taurus group in Brazil, makes some of the most affordable lever guns sold in Australia, which is why they are a fixture in western action and scrub hunting.

Licence categories in NSW: the .22 LR Rio Bravo, Gallery, 8122 and 7122 are Category A rimfires; the centrefire R92, Puma and R95 lever actions are Category B. Every Rossi needs a Permit to Acquire and compliant storage. The Rio Bravo at $605 and the Gallery at $649 are among the cheapest ways into lever-action shooting, and the R95 in .30-30 ($1,155 to $1,461) is a light, fast scrub rifle for pigs and deer.
