Sierra's 65 grain 22 calibre (.224) GameKing (#1395) is a spitzer boat tail for hunters loading for 22 centrefires such as the 223 Rem and 22-250 who want flatter trajectories and retained energy at longer range. Introduced in 2004, the 65 grain #1395 has a tougher core than the Tipped VarmintKing and a thick jacket that stays together even at 22-250 velocities, which makes it a dual-purpose varmint and small deer bullet; it needs a 1:10 or faster twist.
GameKing bullets pair a boat tail base with Sierra's tapered hunting jacket, so they hold a flatter trajectory and retain more energy at distance than a flat-base bullet while still expanding and penetrating on game. Sierra specifies a barrel twist of 1:10 in or faster for this bullet.
