The 100 grain #1628 brings MatchKing weight control and jacket concentricity to the quarter-bores and suits the 25-06, 257 Roberts Improved, 257 Weatherby Magnum and 1:10 twist 250 Savage.

MatchKing jackets are drawn thin and held to very tight concentricity, with a small hollow point meplat that keeps weight and balance consistent from bullet to bullet. They are a target design: Sierra does not recommend MatchKings for most hunting, and on varmints they will not open as reliably as the lighter-jacketed VarmintKing and BlitzKing bullets.
