The Sierra 1725 is a 120 grain 6.5mm (.264) MatchKing hollow point boat tail, a match projectile for target shooters loading for the 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5x55 and other 6.5mm cartridges. The 120 grain #1725 was designed for benchrest and HighPower competition to 600 yards from medium-capacity 6.5mm cases and has also proved itself in handgun silhouette.

MatchKing jackets are drawn thin and held to very tight concentricity, with a small hollow point meplat that keeps weight and balance consistent from bullet to bullet. They are a target design: Sierra does not recommend MatchKings for most hunting, and on varmints they will not open as reliably as the lighter-jacketed VarmintKing and BlitzKing bullets.
