Sierra's 115 grain 270 calibre (.277) MatchKing (#1815) is a hollow point boat tail built for the 270 Win and 270 magnums, and it carries the accuracy reputation that has made the MatchKing a standard in competition. The 115 grain #1815 was developed for the 6.8mm SPC and works in .277 cartridges from the 6.8 SPC up to the 270 Weatherby Magnum.

MatchKing jackets are drawn thin and held to very tight concentricity, with a small hollow point meplat that keeps weight and balance consistent from bullet to bullet. They are a target design: Sierra does not recommend MatchKings for most hunting, and on varmints they will not open as reliably as the lighter-jacketed VarmintKing and BlitzKing bullets.
