Sierra's 150 grain 30 calibre (.308) GameKing (#2115) is a full metal jacket boat tail for hunters loading for the 308 Win, 30-06 and other 30 calibre cartridges who want flatter trajectories and retained energy at longer range. The 150 grain #2115 FMJBT was designed for semi-automatic rifles such as the M14/M1A and M1 Garand, with the cannelure placed to give a correct overall length in both 308 Win and 30-06; it is also a non-expanding option for pelt hunters.

GameKing bullets pair a boat tail base with Sierra's tapered hunting jacket, so they hold a flatter trajectory and retain more energy at distance than a flat-base bullet while still expanding and penetrating on game. The full metal jacket boat tail versions are non-expanding and intended for semi-automatic rifles and pelt hunting rather than general game use.
