Sierra's 165 grain 30 calibre (.308) GameKing (#2145) is a spitzer boat tail for hunters loading for the 308 Win, 30-06 and other 30 calibre cartridges who want flatter trajectories and retained energy at longer range. The 165 grain #2145 is well suited to medium game at any velocity, and Sierra rates it for elk-sized animals provided velocity stays under about 3000 fps and range under about 300 yards.

GameKing bullets pair a boat tail base with Sierra's tapered hunting jacket, so they hold a flatter trajectory and retain more energy at distance than a flat-base bullet while still expanding and penetrating on game.
