The Sierra 2300 is a 150 grain 303 calibre (.311) Pro-Hunter spitzer, a flat-base hunting bullet for the 303 British and other .311 bore rifles. The 150 grain #2300 uses the .311 diameter common to the 303 British, 7.7 Arisaka, 7.62x54R and 7.62x39, with a double-taper heavy jacket and a profile that feeds cleanly in SKS and similar rifles; slug the bore if you are unsure of your groove diameter.

Pro-Hunter bullets use a flat base and Sierra's double-tapered jacket for controlled expansion and deep penetration on medium and heavy game at short to medium range, and their short length for weight helps accuracy and stability.
