The Sierra 1834 is a 135 grain 270 calibre (.277) MatchKing X (MKX), a hunting bullet that keeps the profile and accuracy of the MatchKing but is built to expand on game. The 135 grain #1834 MKX mirrors the ogive and external dimensions of the 135 grain 270 MatchKing, so you can move between match and hunting loads without touching your seating die; its G1 ballistic coefficient is 0.505.

The MKX is engineered to expand reliably at mid-range velocities while matching the flight of its MatchKing counterpart, so a hunter can practise on steel and hunt with the same load.
