Sierra's 64 grain 22 calibre (.224) TGK (#4062) pairs a polymer tip with a heavy hunting jacket, giving hunters loading for 22 centrefires such as the 223 Rem and 22-250 a flat-shooting bullet with dependable expansion. The 64 grain #4062 is a small 22 calibre TGK built for deer-sized game from the 223 Rem and 22-250, with a heavier jacket than the varmint bullets so it holds together on impact.
The polymer tip initiates expansion and lifts the ballistic coefficient, while the heavily constructed jacket controls that expansion for deep penetration on medium and large game. The tip also protects the nose in the magazine and keeps the ballistic coefficient consistent from shot to shot, which shows up as tighter groups at longer range.
