The Sierra 4475 is a 175 grain 270 calibre (.277) Tipped GameKing (TGK), a polymer-tipped boat tail hunting bullet for the 270 Win and 270 magnums. The 175 grain #4475 is built tough for heavy hunting work and hits hard on big game from the 270 Win and the 270 magnums; because of its length it needs a 1:8 or faster twist.
The polymer tip initiates expansion and lifts the ballistic coefficient, while the heavily constructed jacket controls that expansion for deep penetration on medium and large game. The tip also protects the nose in the magazine and keeps the ballistic coefficient consistent from shot to shot, which shows up as tighter groups at longer range. Tipped GameKings feed cleanly through box magazines and suit both bolt actions and semi-automatic rifles. Sierra specifies a barrel twist of 1:8 in or faster for this bullet.
