Sierra's 88 grain 22 calibre (.224) TMK (#7188) adds an acetal resin tip to the MatchKing design, giving competitors in the 223 Rem and fast-twist 22 centrefires a higher ballistic coefficient and cleaner magazine feeding. The 88 grain #7188 is a heavy 22 calibre TMK for fast-twist 223 Rem, 22 ARC and 22-250 barrels used in long-range competition.

The tip reduces drag for a higher ballistic coefficient than the equivalent hollow point MatchKing and gives reliable feeding from box magazines. Like the rest of the MatchKing line these are target bullets and Sierra does not recommend them for most hunting; on varmints they will not open as reliably as the VarmintKing and BlitzKing designs.
