Built for the 308 Win, 30-06 and other 30 calibre cartridges, the 168 grain Sierra Tipped MatchKing #7768 is a match bullet with a resin tip that cuts drag and improves feeding in magazine rifles. The 168 grain #7768 is the tipped version of Sierra's long-standing 168 grain MatchKing and, unlike the untipped bullet, stays supersonic to 1000 yards at normal 308 Win velocities, making it a strong F-Class and 3-Gun choice.

The tip reduces drag for a higher ballistic coefficient than the equivalent hollow point MatchKing and gives reliable feeding from box magazines. Like the rest of the MatchKing line these are target bullets and Sierra does not recommend them for most hunting; on varmints they will not open as reliably as the VarmintKing and BlitzKing designs. Sierra introduced this bullet in 2015.
