The Sierra 8005 is a 85 grain 30 calibre (.308) Sports Master round nose, a handgun bullet for hunters, silhouette and target shooters loading for 30 calibre handgun cartridges. The 85 grain #8005 round nose is a handgun-only bullet with a thin jacket and exposed lead nose for cartridges such as the 30 M1 Carbine and the 32-20 in .308 bore handguns.

Sports Master bullets use Sierra's skived Power Jacket over a lead core, which opens reliably at handgun velocities while holding together for penetration; they are a sound choice for handgun hunting, silhouette and general target work in revolvers, pistols and pistol-calibre rifles.
