Sierra's 180 grain 10mm/40 calibre (.400) Sports Master (#8460) is a jacketed hollow point built to expand at handgun velocities, for shooters loading the 10mm Auto and 40 S&W. The 180 grain #8460 is the full-weight 10mm Auto and 40 S&W hollow point, giving controlled expansion on pests to about 100 yards and making IPSC major power factor with ease; it has no cannelure, so allow for taper crimping.

Sports Master bullets use Sierra's skived Power Jacket over a lead core, which opens reliably at handgun velocities while holding together for penetration; they are a sound choice for handgun hunting, silhouette and general target work in revolvers, pistols and pistol-calibre rifles. Sierra introduced this bullet in 1988.
