The Sierra 8600 is a 180 grain 44 calibre (.4295) Sports Master jacketed hollow cavity, a handgun bullet for hunters, silhouette and target shooters loading for the 44 Special and 44 Rem Mag. The 180 grain #8600 was designed for hunters wanting a light, fast bullet in the 44 Rem Mag revolver; it has a heavy jacket and antimony-hardened core yet still expands at 44 Special velocities.

Sports Master bullets use Sierra's skived Power Jacket over a lead core, which opens reliably at handgun velocities while holding together for penetration; they are a sound choice for handgun hunting, silhouette and general target work in revolvers, pistols and pistol-calibre rifles.
