The Ascent Half Shell is a great mid layer combination of 275 GSM fleece and soft-shell. It has a well-shaped and useful hood with 3 points of adjustment, zipped chest pocket to keep your valuables safe, elasticated cuff and hem, and zipped hand warmer pockets.

Combining the warmth of fleece together with the sturdiness and wind resistance of softshell is a no brainer. It gives you a warm but hard wearing garment that will serve well as a mid-layer/outer layer depending on the weather conditions. The top half utilises our grid back soft-shell whilst the remainder of the garment uses the well known Southern Star fleece pile, and means a great quality and purposeful top that can be used in combination with any of our great shell layer garments.
