For a 40 mm tube scope on a Sauer 404, this SUM ring mount uses the same low, return-to-zero base as the rest of the range.

The Sauer Universal Mount was designed specifically for the Sauer 404 and Sauer 303. It sits extremely low on the receiver so the shooter can get behind the scope without lifting the head, and Sauer builds it for absolute shot-to-shot stability with full return to zero after removal. The system is offered for all common rail types and for ring diameters from 1 inch through to 40 mm.
