DEON Optical Design Corporation was organised in 2004 by engineers who had spent years developing rifle scopes for one of the world's largest optics OEMs. The first March scope, a 40x52 benchrest model, arrived in 2007, and DEON has deliberately stayed a small specialist factory in Chino, Nagano ever since: every scope is designed, machined and hand-assembled in Japan from Japanese-made parts.
The range is built around competition. The 30 mm second focal plane models such as the 1-10x24, 2.5-25x42, 2.5-25x52 and 10-60x52 give a 10x zoom ratio with glass-etched MTR and MML reticles; the 34 mm March-X tactical line runs to 5-50x56 and the 10-60x56 High Master; and the High Master lens system, with its Super ED and high-refractive glass, also powers the fixed 48x52 and 40-60x52 EP Zoom benchrest scopes. First focal plane shooters have the March-F 1-8x24, 3-24x42 and 3-24x52, the March-FX 5-40x56, and the Genesis ELR with more than 400 MOA of elevation for extreme long range.
Reticle choice is a March strength: wire crosshairs and dots for benchrest, MTR and MML glass-etched designs for F-Class and tactical work, FML and FMA reticles in the FFP models, with illuminated and non-illuminated versions and user-changeable illumination modules, including a low-intensity night-vision compatible module. Most models offer a 1/8 MOA click option for shooters who want the finest adjustment.
We supply March through the Australian distributor, BRT Australia. Most configurations are built to order, so talk to us about the model, reticle, turret and illumination combination you want and we will confirm current pricing and lead times, and set the scope up with the right rings and accessories.
