This bullet is designed in the MatchKing tradition, and manufactured to MatchKing standards, and intended for rifles shooting magnum cartridges, such as the 338 Winchester Magnum and 338-378 Weatherby. This bullet will shoot well in 338 Winchester Magnum barrels with 1x12" twist rate. While they are recognized around the world for record-setting accuracy, MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are not recommended for most hunting applications. Although MatchKing and Tipped MatchKing bullets are commonly used for varmint hunting, their design will not provide the same reliable explosive expansion at equivalent velocities in varmints compared to their lightly jacketed Hornet, Blitz or VarmintKing counterparts.
