OUT OF THE BOX Lone Wolf 9mm Pistol
When you first open the box, you can't help but notice the similarities to GLOCK (r) pistols. Lone Wolf supplied upgrade and performance parts for GLOCK pistols and now we have high performance components housed in an ergonomically improved firearm. Two models with two variants each are currently available. There are more component and variants on the horizon.
I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Lone Wolf Timber Wolf 17 in 9mm Luger 5" Black with RMR cutout. We fitted a HOLOSUN HE507K-GR this was coupled to the pistol using the HOLOSUN RMR adapter plate.
The ergonomics, angle and length of the grip are suited to medium to large hands on this model. The angle of the grip is akin to a 1911 and there's no doubt this is a case of 1911 meets GLOCK.
ON THE RANGE
The pistol performed really well straight out of the box, using both the open sights and the HOLOSUN Optics. A noticeable advantage is the ability to co-witness and flawlessly swapping between iron sights and optics.
