Tetra Gun ProSmith bore mop in 28 gauge for applying solvent or oil to a 28 gauge bore. The mop soaks up bore solvent or gun lubricant and carries it down the bore evenly, then absorbs the loosened fouling; it washes out and is reusable. Tetra lists these as cotton mops (the product name says wool) and threads them 8/32 for standard rifle and pistol rods, with a shotgun fitting on the gauge sizes.

The ProSmith line is Tetra Gun's range of rods, brushes, mops, jags and patches, sold in individual calibre sizes so you can build a kit for the guns you actually shoot rather than buying a generic set. Match the size to the bore and the job is done properly.
