The Berger 7mm 180 grain VLD Target is a heavy secant-ogive boat tail match bullet for F-Class and long-range competitors shooting the 7mm magnums, 7mm PRC and 284 Win.

The VLD (Very Low Drag) profile experiences less drag than a tangent-ogive bullet, so it shoots flatter, drifts less in wind and keeps more velocity at 1000 yards. VLDs are often loaded touching the rifling for single-feed use, though some rifles prefer up to 0.150 in of jump. Berger builds it on the J4 Target jacket for concentricity and consistent wall thickness.
