Buying Vortex in Australia

Magnum Sports is an authorised Vortex Optics dealer with more than 170 Vortex products: 68 riflescopes from the Crossfire II and Diamondback to the Strike Eagle, Venom, Viper HD and PST Gen II and the Razor HD LHT and Razor Gen III; 56 binoculars, rangefinders and spotting scopes (Diamondback HD, Viper HD, Razor HD, Fury); red dots including the Crossfire, Venom and Defender; and Vortex rings, mounts, tripods and covers. All are supplied through Extravision, the Australian Vortex distributor, so the Vortex VIP warranty applies in full.

The VIP warranty is unlimited, lifetime and transferable: if a Vortex product is damaged or defective, Extravision repairs or replaces it at no charge, with no receipt or registration required and no exclusions other than loss, theft, deliberate damage or cosmetic marks. Grey-imported Vortex products are not covered in Australia, which is the main reason to buy through an authorised dealer.

      Common questions

Which Vortex scope is best for hunting in Australia?
For most deer and pig hunting at 50 to 300 metres, a Diamondback 3-9x40 or 4-12x40 ($462 to $495) or the Viper HD 2-10x42 or 3-15x44 ($1,142 to $1,278) with a duplex or Dead-Hold BDC reticle. For long-range hunting the Razor HD LHT 4.5-22x50 ($2,404) is the pick; for foxes and goats at night the Crossfire 3-12x56 Hog Hunter ($685) gathers the most light.
Is the Vortex VIP warranty valid in Australia?
Yes, for Vortex products imported by Extravision Australia and sold through authorised dealers such as Magnum Sports. It is unlimited, lifetime and transferable, with no receipt or registration needed, and covers damage or defects with repair or replacement at no charge. Grey-imported Vortex products are not covered.
What is the difference between Vortex Crossfire, Diamondback, Viper and Razor?
Crossfire II is the entry line ($300 to $600) with capped turrets and a Dead-Hold BDC reticle. Diamondback ($443 up) adds better glass and, in the Tactical version, exposed turrets and a first-focal-plane reticle. Viper HD and PST Gen II ($1,142 to $1,849) bring HD glass, precise turrets and FFP options for long-range work. Razor ($2,404 to $5,712) is the flagship with the best glass, tracking and durability.
How much is a Vortex Viper or Razor in Australia?
At Magnum Sports the Viper HD 2-10x42 is $1,142, the Viper HD 3-15x44 $1,278, the Viper HST 6-24x50 $1,329, the Viper PST Gen II 5-25x50 $1,849, the Razor HD LHT 4.5-22x50 $2,404, the Razor Gen II 1-6x24 $2,549, the Razor Gen III 1-10x24 $4,554 and the Razor Gen III 6-36x56 $5,712 (September 2026).
      Do you fit Vortex scopes?
Yes. Buy a scope and rifle together and we fit rings and bases, level the reticle and bore-sight it before collection at no charge. We also stock Vortex Pro and Precision Matched rings and cantilever mounts.
