For hunters who want a genuine all-day glass that still weighs only 640 g, the Zeiss SFL 8x40 is the mid-size model in the Victory SFL range. An 8x magnification with a 5 mm exit pupil gives a steady, bright image and a wide 140 m field of view for scanning timber edges and open country alike.
Zeiss built the SFL series around reduced lens diameters and thinner glass elements set closer together, so the 8x40 is up to 30 per cent lighter than comparable binoculars while keeping a rigid magnesium housing. The UHD concept combines a dedicated coating with an improved optical design for true colour rendition and high detail recognition, and 90 per cent light transmission holds the image well into last light. The SmartFocus wheel in the DoubleLink bridge needs only 1.4 turns from close focus to infinity. LotuTec coating, nitrogen filling and 400 mbar water resistance cover it in rough weather.
