The Zeiss Conquest HDX 10x56 gives hunters a 10x binocular that stays bright at dusk, with a 5.6 mm exit pupil and a 23.7 twilight factor. It suits glassing at distance from a stand or vehicle where the extra weight of a 56 mm objective is not a concern.
Zeiss's HD concept matches selected coatings, lenses and a tuned optical design to give 90 per cent light transmission, faithful colour without fringing and sharpness from edge to edge. The magnesium housing is waterproof to 400 mbar and shockproof, and is fully covered in protective rubber armour for a secure grip. Adjustable eyecups and a lockable diopter let you set the binocular up once and forget it, and the smooth focus wheel makes fine adjustment easy. LotuTec coated lenses shed rain and dust, and the nitrogen-filled body will not fog internally.
