The Zeiss SFL 8x50 is built for the hunter who works the first and last minutes of light, pairing a 50 mm objective with 8x magnification for a generous 6.3 mm exit pupil. It is the low-light specialist of the Victory SFL range, yet at 855 g it is still far lighter than a conventional 50 mm binocular.
Zeiss achieves that weight with the SFL concept: thinner lens elements set closer together inside a magnesium housing, up to 30 per cent lighter than comparable binoculars. The UHD (Ultra-High-Definition) optical concept and T* multicoating give 90 per cent light transmission with true colour and fine detail, so game can be identified reliably at dawn and dusk. The focus wheel in the DoubleLink bridge takes 1.4 turns from close focus to infinity and works easily in gloves. LotuTec coating, nitrogen filling and 400 mbar water resistance handle wet, cold conditions.
