Hornady Outfitter in 300 Weatherby Magnum is a 180 gr CX load for large game including sambar, red deer and scrub bulls. Hornady rates it at 3,100 ft/s from its test barrel with a G1 ballistic coefficient of .469. It suits hunters who need ammunition that shrugs off wet, rough conditions.

Outfitter is built for hard use in the field. Cases are nickel-plated for corrosion resistance and the primer and case mouth are sealed watertight. It is topped with the CX copper-alloy bullet, which gives uniform, controlled expansion, deep penetration and better than 95 percent weight retention, and it suits areas that require lead-free projectiles.
