The Hikmicro Raptor RQ50L pairs a high-sensitivity thermal sensor with a day/night optical camera and an integrated laser rangefinder to support long-range detection and identification. Its SUB 20 NETD 640×512 thermal sensor and F0.9 50mm lens are credited in the source for producing detailed thermal images and improved performance in adverse weather. The binocular-style design includes dual eyepieces and an HD OLED display for viewing by both eyes.
- Integrated 1000 m laser rangefinder: distance readout appears within the viewing screen (source states accuracy ±1 m).
- Day & night camera with IR: full-color daytime imaging and an IR-assisted night mode said to reach up to 400 m; image stabilization reduces handshake.
- Location & orientation: built-in GPS and compass provide position data in the view.
- Power and ergonomics: powered by 3×18650 batteries with a reported runtime of 8 hours; ergonomic chassis and adjustable interpupillary distance (60–70 mm).
The Raptor RQ50L groups thermal imaging, optical imaging, range measurement, and onboard location data into a single binocular unit, prioritizing situational awareness for extended observation sessions.
