The SOG Altair FX in Squid Ink black is a lightweight, compact fixed-blade knife for hikers, hunters and campers who travel light but still want a proper steel. The blade is CRYO 154CM stainless, cryogenically treated for edge retention.
The textured GRN handle is fastener-free and removable, and the sheath works with SOG's configurable Universal Mounting System so it can ride on a belt, pack strap or MOLLE webbing. A sensible small fixed blade for skinning, camp chores and general field use.
SOG takes its name from the MACV-SOG special operations group and has been making knives and tools since 1986 from its base in Lynnwood, Washington. We carry the range for hunters, pest controllers and outdoor users who want a working blade or tool rather than a display piece.
